SIZE GUIDES: CHAINS / NECKLACES

Chains and necklaces worn around the neck are among the most common types of jewelry in the world. 

Whether you want to offer a necklace or a chain to a man or a woman around you or simply to treat yourself with a new piece of jewelry? The chains come in different lengths and it is not always easy to choose the right size of necklace.

Two criteria are important when choosing your channel: length and thickness, here are some diagrams to help you choose the right size necklace:

For men, the chains are most often between fifty and sixty centimeters. Here is a size guide for men's chains:

  • 45 cm: the chain arrives just below the neck.

  • 50 cm: the standard length of men's chain. It descends to the level of the collarbones.

  • 55 cm: the chain stops just below the collarbones.

  • 60 cm and more: the chain will stop just above the breastbone.

Por one woman, the smallest decals of chain will be between 35 and 40 cm approximately for a necklace which is worn close to the neck. Here is a size guide for women's chains:

  • 35-40 cm: the chain is worn close to the neck (also depends on the morphology of the woman).

  • 45 cm: the standard chain length for women. It descends to the level of the collarbones.

  • 50 cm: the chain stops just below the collarbones.

  • 55 cm and more: the chain will stop just above the breastbone.

For babies, the recommended length for wearing a chain is 30-35 cm.

Regarding the thickness of a collar or chain, the choice is very variable. A chain of less than 4mm is generally very thin and more suitable for women and children. Men prefer necklaces of at least 6mm.

SIZE GUIDE: BRACELETS / GOURMETTES

Regarding bracelets, we must also take into account thickness and length which are two decisive criteria in the choice of your final jewel. Depending on the size of your wrist, you should choose a bracelet that is longer or shorter in order to avoid a bracelet that is too small that does not close or a bracelet that is too long that floats in your arm.

Here is a size guide for both men and women bracelets:

Wrap a string comfortably around your wrist. Mark the string where the two ends meet.

Measure the twine from one end to the point you marked. Check out the sizes below to determine which size is right for you.

Generally suitable for women / Generally suitable for men

1. Measure your wrist just below the wrist bone, where a bracelet would normally be worn, with a flexible tape measure or paper strip.

2. If you are using a strip of plain paper, then measure with a ruler to determine your wrist size.

3. Add 1 to 2 centimeters to your wrist size, depending on whether you want a tight, comfortable or flexible fit.

PS: A bracelet is perfectly sized when you measure your wrist and add 2-3 centimeters.

PS 2: If you are in between sizes, ask yourself how you like to wear your bracelet. If you want it tight choose the size below, if you want it more relaxed choose the size above.

PS 3: Be aware that when you receive your new bracelet it will be stiff which may get in your way at first. The bracelet will soften quickly, for better comfort.

  • The items offered often require a preparation time, we do our best to ship your order in less than 72 hours, depending on the activity. This preparation time may vary depending on the volume of activity during the year (Black Friday, Christmas, etc.). Do you live outside the EU and want to receive your package as quickly as possible? We offer this option to some countries. If you choose express shipping, you will receive your order in 2-7 business days with DHL.

However, please note that in the event of a return of your package, the shipping costs will not be refunded to you. And also be aware that you will probably have to pay customs fees and import taxes with DHL.

All customs fees and import taxes are the responsibility of the customer. All orders sent by standard or express shipping to worldwide are shipped RDD (Render Duty Due, which means that customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer) from Asia. We do not collect VAT, customs fees or taxes and cannot predict the amount at your expense. You will need to pay customs duties to collect your package. As we ship our packages to more than 50 countries, some customs departments may require payment of additional charges upon delivery. In this case, the costs will have to be paid to the local shipping company. Joyllia does not charge fees and has no control over taxes collected by local customs services.

Any delivery date or time specified by Joyllia is only a well-founded estimate and Joyllia will not be responsible for any loss or damage you may suffer due to a reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. THE CONDITIONS FOR MAKING AN EXCHANGE / RETURN?

In all of the following cases, you can make a return:

  • My products were damaged when I received them
  • I got the wrong size 
  • The product is not what I expected and I would like to exchange it for another

  • All products returned for exchange must be in perfect condition, unworn in their original packaging. Otherwise, we will not be able to proceed with an exchange.

    You have 14 days from the date you received the item to return your item. 


    HOW TO MAKE AN EXCHANGE / RETURN?

    Send us an email at contact@joyllia.lu to notify us of your intention to change or return an item to us.

    Once your exchange or return declaration has been approved by our customer service, you can return the items to the address indicated. Once received at our premises, you will receive a confirmation email. 

    Your new item will be returned to you in the event of an exchange or you will receive a refund of the amount due by bank transfer according to your original method of purchase if it is a return.

    If you do not receive an email from us within 28 days, please contact us at contact@joyllia.lu and we will investigate the situation for you.

    Joyllia does not take responsibility for lost items so we recommend that you send your items by post, registered with acknowledgment of receipt.

    Unfortunately, we do not offer free returns at this time, you will have to pay the return and handling charge equal to 10% of your order (unless your item is defective). 

    If you are returning goods from outside the EU, please indicate on the customs declaration that this is a return of unwanted goods. Any customs duties charged to us for returning the goods will be deducted from your refund.


    IMPORTANT: 

    REFUNDS

    Please allow a maximum of 14 days for processing your refund from the date you receive your return.

    You will receive a confirmation email indicating the amount refunded as well as the value of the original order.

    After receiving the email confirming the refund, please allow at least 5 business days for your account to be credited.

    Your card issuer or bank is responsible for crediting your account and therefore we have no control over the time period described.

    If your card has expired or been declined, we will offer you an alternative refund method.

    RETURN / EXCHANGE NOTIFICATION

    RETURNS AND EXCHANGES OF ITEMS 

    Personalized items, gift cards, earrings and promotional items cannot be returned or exchanged.

    Returns or exchanges for size reasons are only possible while stocks last.

    Regarding items purchased on promotion, they can only be exchanged in the case of a defective item and subject to the availability of this item.

    UNCLAIMED PACKAGES

    In case of absence during the delivery of your package, you must collect your package within the deadlines granted by the Post Office.

    If your package is not collected, it will be automatically returned to us by the carrier. We are in no way responsible for unclaimed packages or if the address provided when ordering is incorrect.

    If your package is returned to us, a refund will be issued automatically without the shipping and handling charges which remain your responsibility.

    PRODUCT GUARANTEE

    All of our items have a one-year warranty from the day your order is delivered.

    The warranty is valid against defects in materials and / or workmanship. The warranty excludes wear coverage and / or any physical or accidental damage.
